Regina Lopez-Wurth

Regina grew up on a farm in rural northwest Ohio where she developed a lifelong appreciation for walking barefoot in tall grass and homemade preserves.  Regina attended The Ohio State University and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She continued her education at Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, LA (NOLA). There Regina earned a Master’s degree in Public Health.  NOLA has the best live music, chicory coffee, and pralines.

As her graduate degree Capstone Experience, Regina lived and worked as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala. Peace Corps… Best. Decision. Ever.

Upon returning to the USA, fresh with Spanish language skills and a bug to travel, Regina moved to the DC metro area where she met her husband Angel. Regina held various public health positions at the Alexandria Health Department in Virginia, until 2017 when she decided to return to Ohio to be closer to her family. Regina and Angel have three kids; the youngest two live in Ohio with them and love growing up in a small town. Regina and her family enjoy good street food, soccer, and road trips.

Regina works in collaboration with Krista Finch, APRN to see patients at the Marysville Sexual Health Clinic. Access to birth control, cervical and breast cancer screenings, and helping link under-served patients to affordable care are some of Regina’s professional passions.
